Back to the days of uniform !!

Thinking about the school days make me feel nostalgic...

well the first school I ever attainded was in my village an english medium school "Lily English School" did my Kinder garden form this school.. then in the year 1989 I left from kohima to continue my schooling. There got admitted to a local school in the colony where my aunty are staying "Nagabazar Baptist English School" studied in this school till my 3rd standard, during the period of my studies in this school got some few good friend but did turn out to be a close fren. Then due to some unavoidable circumstances, when I was at home for my winter break, I couldnt return back to kohima so have to take up admission here in Imphal, and so I got admitted to "Tiny Tots Unique School" however I couldnt adjust myself in this new enviroment for long and so after completing my 5th standard here I left for Kohima again. Here in this school meet some few good friends whom I m keeping contact till date.

Then in Kohima I took admission in a school where one of my relative is teaching "Grace English School" studied in this school just for a year, here make some new friend but couldnt carry on the friendship. Then the next year I got admission in "Baptist High" in 7th standard this is where life rock and this institute have added lots to the improvement of my personality. From this school I passout my 10 standard, during the stayed in this school (4th year class 7 - 10) make some good friend whom we hangout together even after school get over.Even till date even we get time we used to meet up and hang around during this short stay in "BH" visited some historical place in kohima and took part in many activities... and was also the member of the school wall paper.Did enjoyed a lot !~!!!!!!

Then after I passed out from this school I joint "St Joseph College Jakhama" for my plus two ! in commerce stream, here too i did enjoy a lot got many good friends... during this short stayed of two year , in my 10+2 i contested for the post of VP (vice preseident 2003-04) Commerce Association (CA), which I won.So as being an office bearer of the Association was entrusted with lots of task apart from studies, however this things did not affect my studies.. I was always among the top 5 in the class. So the "CA" organised lot of inter college competition in the college and so an industrial tour to cement factory in Chirapunjee in Meghalaya !

This are the memories of my school days !!

Coward of the country.

This morning was listen to a song by Kenny Rogers, the lyrics was really good
so just thought of writing it down here....
Here it goes......
Everyone considered himThe coward of the countyHe'd never stood one single timeTo prove the county wrongHis mama named him TommyBut folks just called him yellowSomething always told meThey were reading Tommy wrong
He was only ten years oldWhen his daddy died in prisonI looked after Tommy'Cause he was my brother's sonI still recall the final wordsMy brother said to TommySon my life is overBut yours has just begun
Promise me, sonNot to do the things I've doneWalk away from trouble if you canNow it don't mean you're weakIf you turn the other cheekAnd I hope you're old enough to understandSon, you don't have to fight to be a man
There's someone for everyoneAnd Tommy's love was BeckyIn her arms he didn't haveTo prove he was a manOne day while he was workingThe Gatlin boys came callingThey took turns at BeckyN'there was three of themTommy opened up the doorAnd saw Becky cryingThe torn dress, the shattered lookWas more than he could standHe reached above the fireplaceTook down his daddy's pictureAs his tears fell on his daddy's faceI heard these words again
Promise me, sonNot to do the things I've doneWalk away from trouble if you canNow it don't mean you're weakIf you turn the other cheekAnd I hope you're old enough to understandSon, you don't have to fight to be a man
The Gatlin boys just laughed at himWhen he walked into the barroomOne of them got upAnd met him half way cross the floorTommy turned around they saidHey look, old yeller's leavin'You could've heard a pin dropWhen Tommy stopped and locked the door
Twenty years of crawlingWas bottled up inside himHe wasn't holding nothing backHe let 'em have it allTommy left the bar roomNot a Gatlin boy was standingHe said, This one's for BeckyAs he watched the last one fallN' I heard him say
I promised you, DadNot to do the things you've doneI walk away from trouble when I canNow please don't think I'm weakI didn't turn the other cheekPapa, I should hope you understand Sometimes you gotta fightWhen you're a man
Everyone considered him,The coward of the county.

Hobby (Philately)

The collection and study of postage stamps is known as Philately. It is also called the ‘King of Hobbies’. Stamp collecting, a mania in the 1940’s has grown into one of the world’s most popular hobbies, a science and a business activity today. Pursuit of the hobby offers enjoyment, education, companionship and so on. There is no other hobby which is practiced by such a wide variety of people- young and old, rich and poor. Besides school children, writers, artists, teachers, and scientists, in fact people of all professions and ages have been enchanted by stamps. Stamps have conquered even kings. King George V of England, King Faud of Egypt, Queen Marie of Romania and American President Franklin Roosevelt were stamp collectors. Today Philately is an organized hobby with Exhibitions taking place worldwide. Some of the world’s most expensive stamps are the British Guyana one cent and “Mauritius post office issue Bordeaux Cover” . The later was sold on 1993 for an estimated $3.8m (13 crores). *World Postal History Stamp collecting began soon after world saw the first postage stamp in 1840 issued by Great Britain. An educator named Rowland Hill of England is considered the father of Philately In 1837 he advocated Prepayment of postage. He devised a prepaid envelope and the adhesive postage stamp. The stamp picturing Queen Victoria was issued on May 1, 1840. Two years later Stamps were issued by private postal services in New York and Brazil and two Swiss Cantons (Zurich and Geneva). The US issued it’s first stamp on July 1,1847. One (5c) had Benjamin Franklin on it and the other (10c) had George Washington on it. *Method Both mint - stamps (unused stamps ) and used stamps can be collected. These can be collected year-wise, nation-wise or theme-wise. To make this easier and more attractive to beginners, philatelists generally advise you to collect stamps according to a selection of your choice called a Thematic Collection. Themes may be flowers, birds, animals, architecture, railways, monuments, Red Cross etc... Definitive stamps and stationery can also be collected as a theme. The bottom line is that the collection unfolds various aspects of a theme like a story *Types of Stamps There are commemorative and definitive stamps. Commemorative stamps are issued, as the name suggests, to commemorate important events, prominent personalities in various fields, aspects of nature, beautiful or rare flora and fauna, environmental issues, agricultural activities, national/international issues, games etc. These stamps are only available at Philatelic Bordeaux and counters or under the Philatelic Deposit Account Scheme. They are printed in limited quantities. Definitive stamps on the other hand, are used for day - to - day postal mailing purposes and are available in various ascending denominations from 20 paisa onwards at all postal counters. *Philatelic material available at Philatelic Bureaux Philatelic material includes - Mint stamps (used stamps) First Day Covers (FDCs, which are issued with every commemorative stamp) Brochure (Information sheet accompanying each commemorative stamp) Collectors' Packs, year-wise Miniature/Souvenir sheets which are sometime issued with Commemorative stamps. Catalogue of Postage Stamps of India since 1947 *Indian postal First post office was establish atFort St.George Square,Chennai. Present largest post office Mumbai GPO. The first postal office outside the country is at Dakshin Gangotri on Antratica. The fist stamp designer was Captain H.L Thuillier, Deputy Surveyor General,Kolkata. The first state to issued stamp was Kathiawar in saurashtra(now Gujarat). First stamp honouring a national leader was of Mahatma Gandhi issued on 15 August,1948.

trip to orissa

i went for a trip to orissa for ten days. it was a trip with particular purpose and we met various people, especailly from villages. see in orissa there is a lots of problems as companies are setting up various projects , but the question is for whom? they will say that it is for the people, but my question , which people. those people who are rich and powerful? what about the poor and common people? also they are snatching their land like anything as if the land is theirs. even they won't give compensation, but do you ever consider, how much money they give it will never ever compensate their land as the land is their livelihood, not only farm land but their homes also. please guys do consider about it? also they won't get job because they are not that too much educated to get a job in corpoates, where even the highly educated people struggle to get there. on this trip we met villagers and try to understand their problems, share their plights and share our feelings and some knowledge that we have. i went to a particular village named" kuchaipudar", it is so beautiful and i was like " oh my god! " when i reached there.it's so beautiful, we took bath in the river, and even answer the call of nature in the forest, and mind you there is so much harmony that our stool are not wasted. some wild pigs will come up and eat it, but here in cities everyone is like parasites where everyone will try to take some thing out from others, and not returning anything. the main thing is , in this particular village, some aluminium companies are setting up new industries but at the cost of these villagers and also these plants are really harmful for the earth. i have seen their waste products , pilling up huge amount of chemicals and it has become a hill, where no one can get anything. these triblas are fighting against the atricocities and the sad thing is even the government are supporting them. why so cruel behaviour to the innocent and simple people. india is a huge country and they got only this particular beautiful and fertile place to set up their plants ? why? we have a lots of "banjar jamin" , why they are not setting the plant there.

guys my main point is " THIS PARTIICULAR INDUSTRIALISATION IS JUST A SYMBOL OF POWER RELATIONS NOT DEVELOPMENT".

why should a few people get rich at the cost of majority common people? why? if you people read this blog ,, then do kindly think about it, because the time will come when some powerful and rich people will ask you to give your land for their industrial plants. will you submit yourself to this atrocities? please thinkk about it..
